Shawn M. Stambaugh, PE, President, is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a BS in Civil Engineering. Shawn has a total of 13 years of structural and civil engineering experience focused predominately on building design. This experience consists of the design and inspection of all facets of single and multi-family residential engineering projects as well as mixed-use and commercial engineering projects.
Scott B. Disher, AIA, NCARB, Founding Partner and Executive Vice President, earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Clemson University. After spending six years in commercial design and project management for an architectural and engineering firm with $10-15 million in revenues, Scott moved into the residential market in 1987 and for several years worked with successful residential architecture firms. In 1989 Scott formed the Architectural firm of Scott Blakeslee Disher & Associates and founded QEA in 1999 along with Christopher Caponigro in order to provide structural engineering services to the growing Architectural practice and architectural community at large. In the same year, Scott and Christopher formed Quantum Holding Group to provide management services for the company's offices and other real estate investments. In 2004, with his experience growing three companies, architectural and engineering background and a strategic CPA alliance Scott was instrumental in preparing QEA to offer Cost Segregation services.
Christopher F. Caponigro, Founding Partner and Executive Vice President, has over 25 years of experience designing and detailing buildings and building components. After an honorable discharge in 1979 from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Christopher pursued a career in the Building Design Sector working for Professional Engineering and Architectural firms. Christopher has a broad and intensive range of experience in the design development and construction documentation of high rise-buildings, marine facilities, commercial structures, residential housing, modular systems and building shell design. Christopher is an Information Technology Specialist, deploying and managing complex Computer Aided Drafting and Office software applications. Christopher has qualified to sit for the architectural registration examination solely on experience and anticipates licensure within 6 months.
Thomas Flynn, JD, MBA, Director of Sales & Marketing. Tom received his JD at the University of Notre Dame where he also graduated from its Business School with a concentration in taxation. He has been involved in the real estate sector since leaving a successful Wall Street career in 1989. Tom’s education, extensive experience with capital markets and real estate, and his responsiveness to clients combine to effectively meet the increasing needs of QEA’s clients and the marketplace.
